A.B. Kuznetsov has been educated at geological department (sedimentology and marine geology) at Leningrad State University. He graduated in geochemistry-mineralogy-petrology (with honors) in 1993.
1998 – PhD degree in Geochemistry with title "Sr isotope evolution of the Late Riphean seawater: the Karatau Group carbonate of the South Urals".
2013 – Dr Science degree in Geochemistry with title "Sr isotope evolution of Proterozoic ocean".
Since 1998 – researcher at Institute of Precambrian Geology and Geochronology, Russian Academy of Sciences, St Petersburg
2017 – Head of Laboratory of Isotope chemostratigraphy and geochronology of sedimentary rock, IPGG RAS
2020 – Director of IPGG RAS
Scientific interests: stratigraphy and geochronology, isotope geochemistry, sedimentary research, carbonate ore sedimentary deposits and phosphorite.
Geological, isotope-geochemical and geochronological studies of Precambrian sections of European, Arctic, Uralian, Siberian and Central Asian regions.
