Mineralogical group
The Mineralogical Group is a subsidiary unit and is designed to provide the scientific units of IPGG with prepared samples of rocks and minerals for a variety of analytical studies (geochemical, petrographic, isotopic, etc.).
The main task of the group is the separation of monofractions of rock-forming minerals, accessory and ore minerals of all types of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks and the grinding, quartering and tearing of samples for various studies of the bulk composition of rocks.
The mineralogical group includes the grinding division, which carries out stone-cutting and sanding works.
